Background of the Study
Freelance journalism has become increasingly popular as traditional media outlets face financial challenges and journalists seek more autonomy. In Kano Municipal LGA, Kano State, freelance journalists play a significant role in filling the gap left by established media outlets, often covering local news, social issues, and political events. However, freelance journalism comes with numerous challenges, including lack of job security, limited access to resources, and struggles with credibility and recognition.
